Saturday morning about 8 AM my niece in Pennsylvania went to the Pocino Mountains with friends and was thrown off the back of a damn 4 wheeler. 9 broken ribs on right side 2 broken ribs on left side, broken shoulder, face and head injuries, broken pelvic (or possible)...internal bleeding. Why the government does not require a driving license for these types of vehicles is unfortunate. The person driving the 4 wheeler had little or no experience or training. My niece had to lift the 4 wheeler off the driver so she could walk for help. My niece had a wonderful job with AZN but now that is in question because she will need at least a year off to recover.

I have requested that Dennis Kucinick (candidate for President) call me and the staff volunteer said he will. I hope to interview him to see what he has plans to do about the national and Florida economy. A one issue (stop the war) candidate will not be our next President.

As I type this article, 9 Republicans are debating on ABC and Duncan Hunter with only 1% of the support looks best. (looks) Strong speaking voice by Duncan Hunter...congradulations!

Some people will be critical of war but strong Republican values shown when Duncan Hunter spoke. Duncan Hunter is left handed.

Mike Huckabee was shorter than Mitt Romney, "must get off the foreign oil"...good point...but Mr. Huckabee did not look well.

Governor Tommy Thompson: speaking fine but looks negative. "failure of Congress and the President of United States" Looks poor but speaks well.

McCann leading a foot to his Right. Did not speak well. He was using wrong words in sentences..

Ron Paul keeps looking down but had strong people words

McCann said war was mismanaged for 4 years.

Mike Huckabee...speaking well on Health care and smoking

Mitt Romney is not color blind...he sees a green light but smiles as though he is happy with health insurance.

Today was a turning point. The price of oil at 72 dollars a barrel while a concern, the stock market used it to recover a little. I am still negative on the stock market particularly bank stocks. Understand one major mortgage company has filed for bankrupcty. Spoke again to a car sales person and it does appear 2007 chevy vehicles are moving again. Tension was a little better on the job market some engineering positions are opening up again. It appears Florida will be in the hole for at least 3 years until someone else becomes Governor. I cannot put in words what has happened financially but let me say our economy is in very bad conditon when Wachovia decides to remove $675.80 from an account to balance their math error over 75 days ago. Don't cash your U.S. Saving Bonds at Wachovia (Nova Road just south of Dunlawton in Port Orange Florida)

I am beginning to see some improvement in the local economy maybe we can finish the year level but more stores will be closing and more vacancies in business locations will happen.

I believe crime in central Florida is my next big concern. I spoke to a person who is stating that daytime crimes in parking lots are up big time and everyone should be careful to avoid people.

This evening at 6PM the Daytona Beach temperature was 93 degrees and 9 of 10 cars I passed on Mason Avenue had the windows down. This either means my temperature guage was off or the number of folks not repairing their auto air condition is up. I believe this could be sign the economy is still in for a rough couple months.

Surprised that Google stock recovered nicely today. (Look for a good buy Google at $475 in about 30 days) (it is now 515.

AZN and DIS are in a base building phase so if gasoline prices start down again say to 60 a barrel (2.50/gallon) it would be a good Disney would be a good investment.

It does not look good for those 6 trapped Utah coal miners. Reports indicate the cave in was much much greater than expected and there may be no way to get to alive miners in time. A drill is being set up on top of the mountain but it will take days.

Have you noticed bad news appears to be all west of the Miss. River. One more even will be 3....I am concerned about earthquake potential in California.

President Bush is amazing. The Democrats are now concerned about losing the next election for the White House. Hillary's numbers are going down and Bombabomb or whatever is going up. For the first time in this election season I am starting to like OBama or whatever....he just needs a name change. Duncan Hunter don't give up Rudy is weak in Florida.

We are not very happy with the consumer respect Wachovia provides; until I get a written apology in the mail I will continue to express my displeasure with Wachovia. I recommend that you try another bank maybe Riverside or Regions then let me know if they wait 80 days before closing a U.S. Savings bonds transaction. Also let me know if they remove $675.80 from your account (not even used to deposit the bond funds) to cover their accounting errors. (as Wachovia did)

This evening two events happened that may be related....first someone form the John Edwards campaign called for a $100 donation (I have not been a Democrat since 2000) I then immediately went to see the movie Underdog....Let's Vote Underdog for President at least he would talk to us not like King George.

We are making progress Missey is out of woods; the economy seems to be improving a little; will be making changes that will temporarily be negative on future plans but when 12 months go by we will all be better off and see the end of this negative time. The recession started October 27, 2006 and now we are almost 1/3 the way back to even. Ten years ago the people of Thialand had a similar "where is the money" problem but this is America but our government is in so much red ink they can only wait until we all get caught up on last years' Christmas bills.

Sandy Rice was 40 years old today; Happy Birthday party at the Road House on ISB in Daytona. We had a great time at the Sandy's birthday party.

The Tampa Bay bucs won a game over New England.

Looking for new direction.

It's too hot in Florida and other places. Will oil go to $100 a barrel this winter (Hugo Chavez should take his oil to cuba understand it burns dirty and therefore all our Citgo signs should be dropped off shore next to Cuba rather than fill our County land fill; I am sure some cubans that will be going home soon will take the Citgo signs south if we give them a Navy this time) Damn Kennedy he allowed Castro to control sugar for all these years no wonder I don't like the taste of Coke Cola any more. A coke truck driver confirmed my belief that the poor taste of Coke is a direct result of poor water outside of Florida. If I were Governor I would put a Coke blockage all around Florida. Florida needs a rubber raft Navy wonder if we could hirer Green Peace since they have failed to create peace.

Okay here is the latest news on the miners....they are not going to find them alive (my personal opinion)...it is taking too long to see photos of the miners/cameras don't have side view problems)(they found them but it does not look pretty (my opinion)

Let us pray for the families of the coal miners (All across the US) we need coal miners to keep America strong. My grandfather and uncles were miners during the period 1940 to 1957.

I have been saying for several weeks the DOW average will drop to near 10,000 by November 2008. A man by the name of Cramer is stating something like "the Depression is coming"

Now lets examine ...Oil attempting to go to $100 a barrel this will hurt Florida and the US economy. Many of us will be retiring within the next 4 years and there will be a demand for removal of the funds from stocks I have not been directly in the stock market since March 2000. I am using an annuity from Met Life in an attempt to grow a little cash but it will be zero growth over the next 5 years but I will at least not lose the principle.

Mitt Simmons is talking stock market problems.

Was it a whale or a Russian sub. The newspaper claims that a whale took the anchor of a small kayak near Flager Beach a few days ago but I am concerned that the Russian sub has put their Flag on a sand bar 1200 feet off the coast (they don't support the 12 mile rule) so now they will use the sandbar to recover the oil we should be getting for our Florida economy. The hell with the beach it is all owned by the ocean front hotels and condo owners that refuse to allow people free access to the People's Beach.

Next we need to insulate our homes (duct work). We need to create allow friends to come down to Florida during the winter and ask them to lower the temperature in their homes back in Canton Ohio. Bob & Shirley please bring some Ohio gasoline for your mower work; have the grill hot by the time I get home. (solar grill) We must find a way to conserve energy so my son can purchase gasoline for his (Heather's) boat so it is not simply parked at my home all year.

John thanks for the articles...but don't you believe the kayak was attacked by the Russians...it seems to make more sense than blaming a whale. (whales are smart not dumb as Russians)

There is no hope for America unless I convince everyone in Pennsylvania to burn coal again. Unfortunately if gasoline gets so limited the cost of coal goes up making the old folks just say no. So we need to tap the burning coal of Centralia (underground mine fire that has been going for over 20 years)...by tapping this heat to make electricity we solve the transportation problem. I hereby ask someone from Frontier Oil Company to send a representative to Ashland Pa. and meet with investors about converting the waste heat to electrical energy. (386 235 0380)

I refuse to install any additional twisted light bulbs they take forever to turn on. Good news with the scrambling of over the air television we will be free to read books by candle light. I am going to invest in candles (simply white)

We need to plant corn on my acre lot...John would you be so kind to start the investigation as to whether zoning change (residential to farming) would be a problem. With the way homes are not selling and banks not cutting the lawns of foreclosed properties we should use this as an opportunity to solve America's energy problem...turn the abandoned lawns to farms. It is 2:10 AM and this onballot is going to my big head.

Thank you John P. of the News Journal (Independent contractor) at the New Smyrna Beach CVS. I wish you the best of luck with your professional decisions/future. It was amazing to find so many job openings in any professional here in Florida. I guess the economy will only be down for another 24 months. The pending lowering of interest rates will help but not until this time next year. So many folks are having money shortages we will all have to hold on a little longer.

If the cost of fuel/oil goes down this winter that will help but I fear the $100.00 a barrel call from Hugo Chavez.

Retail stores are closing in Orlando but this has been going on since the beginning of time. If Walmart holds off on building the new Daytona Walmart well that would be a bad sign.

N. Johnson needs your prayers this wednesday and of course Missey is still in bad shape following the ATV crash.

Looking for a new future do you have any ideas as to whether I should move north to Georgia or South? It is hot hot hot.

Michigan is holding on but how I have no idea.

Government jobs in Florida are getting harder and harder to hold.

Yesterday I knew today would be a big day....my job was eliminated due to budget reasons and I said yesterday the market would drop today....it did....and I accepted another challenging position.

This is a turning point day and I truely believe the market will go back up 500 points within the next 7 days.

The budget busting is continuing but I believe except for the 27% increase in health insurance, so this will be another drag on the market. So expect the market to go up 500 points then immediately after labor day watch the Market DOW drop below 13000.

I arrive at these "feelings of how the stock market will go" by the following projections:

1. the shuttle will get back to florida okay

2. a hurricane will hit Florida but only a little,...this will help Lowes and Home Depot sell plywood etc.

3. the oil prices will drop big after labor day especially since the hurricane tropical storm along the east coast makes driving not much fun.

4. I will be on a two week vacation during September and hope to be in Washington...do not expect any special hits from the sick hate American group. (some times I think they are made to be much bigger than they are).

5. The miners in Utah will be found okay but 2 will die or have died...3 will be okay...expect in the next 48 hours such a prediction,

6,. Expect a major Presidental candidate (McCann) to drop out of sight and Expect Hillary to drop a few points and allow Kucinich to move up close to second role. Ending the war will get to be a big issue if the price of oil continues going up.

St. Augustine is beautiful this time of year especially a ride along north A1A. There is something special to enjoy on the east side of the library near San Marco Avenue at the jog in A1A. (just off US 1) see if you can tell what it is by looking at google...hint it has many horses running in a circle.

Gasoline at Loves US 1 near Ormond Beach was 2.69 a gallon.

It is a time for strength and understanding.....let us pray our leaders have both.

Did you hear the shuttle landed in Florida but did you listen to the failed bearing or something during the landing. We are so lucky to have them back safely.

Next we need to keep up our health. We are only one accident away from major financial problems for our family. Here is an example my niece had a very bad ATV accident and my brother and I believe she will be on the sideline for years. So her great job with a major drug company will of course be in trouble if her broken shoulder and broken rips do not heal fast. The fact that her lungs are only 80% inflated is very concerning. My point in giving you these words is to ask you to tell your family members of how difficult like will be if they take a risk and have a major accident. Yesterday while I was speaking to my brother in Pennsylvania he over heard the following: In Hegins Pennsylvania a 12 year old boy was driving a dirth bike and crossing a closeline or some type of wire and he has has head cut off by 90%.....Oh...we need to require owners of ATV's and motor cycles to watch a film on the hazards of such vehicles.

The stock market was up a little but remember I am predicting that the DOW average will be near 10,000 by November 2008.

What is this law suit about someone sueing Mattle over the Chinise disposing of their lead paint in America. This is only a sample of what America is getting from China. I wrote to my congressman in 1988 and complained about "Made in China bar bells"....when the steel mills were closing in Pennsylvania.

We need to start watching and listening to channel 6 Orlando CBS. We need to tell them that simply making up words to fill the time space is unfair to listeners/viewers. Listen to how the weather man repeats and repeats the same statement to the point that indicates he is not preparing for the broadcast. Effective immediately the weather portion of the news hour (1/2) should be limited to facts not repeating. I believe sometimes the graphics say more than the weather man. I don't have his name but if I did I would not use it because each of us have bad days....so today was the local 6 TV weatherman's bad day for speaking concisely and don't repeat the same statement three different phrases.

Apparently Georgia is having a significant run on foreclosures; Shelan who lived in the Atlanta area is here in Daytona Beach going to college. She said that New Yorkers moved to the Atlanta area and utilized those no money down or ARM type mortgages but now they are moving out of Georgia again. I believe the Atlanta area still has the best employment opportunities but I really only have limited information.

The stock market will go down again Tuesday of next week.

Gasoline in Daytona Beach is $2.64.

Sad to learn of the 14 soldiers we lost today. Relating this war to Vietnam is sad.

I wish John Kerry would crawl into a ketchup bottle.

Okay, the next phase is beginning, the flood in Ohio is an economic problem because vehicles traveling south along I-75 have a much longer trip. My son and his wife are driving south from Michigan as I type these words and I will give you an update on conditions soon.

Is cash King or 72 months of annunity...in 72 months the recession depression will be over....

Discussion with several people today seem to tell me the economy is going further south. Contractors in Central Florida need public projects to get through this recession but few Cities have any projects. Also the Atlanta area which has been hot is cooling.(job wise)

This stock market is about to go down 1000 points within the next two weeks. (watch google if drops below 475 we are in for big trouble in getting out of this recession)

We still have not received any rain in Port Orange for over a month; there is smoke in the air near I-95.

Traffic is light on I-95; business at the Longhorne appeared to be very light.

The Movie The Nanny Diaries is not worth going too.

Gasoline in Daytona is $2.61.

Even the number of emails from Africia are down. Did those people find a real life or someone to cash their worthless money wires.

We had several reports of traveling crime team in the Port Orange area gaining access to senior citizens homes.

I want to say thanks to the management of Hershey's in Pennsylvania for reemploying a worker who was off for months suffering while watching his wife die of cancer. Does anyone have a code on Hershey bars to know if they are made in Pennsylvania or Mexico.

I will be visiting Pennsylvania during September and hope to enjoy my favorite food (Pottsville Pizza made for the past 58 years at the same location) and other local foods at Knobels.

We are still sad that they did not find the miners in Utah.
